About

Andy Knorr paints with the irresistible urge to use intoxicating colors may not reflect the real world, but work fine in the state of imagination. Her paintings speak of her love of colors as they balance and play off of each other, and of the emotions and sounds they create. As a result, her canvases glow vigorously. Her subjects range from portraiture (animal, human, mechanical) to still life to interior and exterior landscape. Her style flows from impressionistic to abstract to representational, often in a singular painting. Andy grew up in southeastern New Mexico among broad open expanses of land and sky, an influence evident in many of her imaginative landscapes. After college and years of adulthood in Oklahoma, she now resides in Colorado and Arizona.

  1. Andy, I am stunned by the vibrancy and skill level of your work!!! I see why you enjoyed the old car series. It shows! They are amazing. I love the creative ways you frame what you paint. The dog portraits seem to express their unique souls and personalities. I’m no art critic, but I know what I like. You are eclectic and celebrate that gift!
    Love,
    Diane
